Who is this course for? General Managers, Supervisors and HR personnel who have responsibility for, or involvement in, the health and well-being of employees as part of their day-to-day duties. Organisations may wish to use it as part of their health and well-being strategy to compliment their existing occupational health staff.

The 5 day course covers: The topics covered are Identifying risks to health at work, Learning how to manage sickness absence and implement a return to work programme, Prevention and management of work related stress, Disability discrimination and protecting health at work, Working effectively with health professionals and Dealing with mental health at work.

How is the course assessed? By written examination on managing health and well-being in the workplace and a practical assessment based on identification of workplace health and well-being issues.
Where to study The course can be delivered within your organisation or your employees can attend our training courses run in CIDO Innovation Centre Portadown. We offer a variety of flexible course formats, so training can be arranged according to your needs. It is a 5 day course, 1 day a week for 5 weeks, 9.30am to 4.30pm each day. Also available via distance learning.
