Who is this course for?
Managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps them manage risks effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH certificate as a first step on a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview and is a sound basis for further professional study.

Entry Requirements, No previous health and safety knowledge is required but candidates must be able to write short reports. This courses requires students to complete a two part written examination and practical safety assessment.

The 11 day course covers:
The topics covered are The foundations of Health & Safety, Risk assessment and control, Hazards associated with Work Equipment and Transport, Electrical and Fire Safety Risks.


Intensive 1 day per week for 11 weeks plus exam (9.30am – 4.30pm)


How is the course assessed?

Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. There is also a practical assessment to help you apply your learning at work and add value for your employer

Is The NEBOSH Certificate Course Recognised?
The NEBOSH certificate is accepted by IOSH in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH. It is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.

The course covers: The main legal requirements for safety in the UK, a range of workplace hazards, and methods of control. The syllabus is reviewed regularly to keep up to date with developments in the workplace and in legalisation.
